My family and I (pictured right) are so proud to bring fresh, local food to Atascocita and the neighboring areas. Microgreens are an incredibly nutrient dense food that can help restore your healthy and vitality. As you’ll read below, they sure did wonders for me!
Atascocita Microgreens is not your run-of-the-mill food vendor!
We’re a “direct to community” farm that is committed to providing the Atascocita area with the freshest and most local produce possible. We live right in the suburbs with you, but we’ve taken advantage of the fact that we’re on an oversized lot and we can share the wonderful things we grow with those around us.
Read on for more information about each of the family members behind the microgreens and how this company came to be.
The first person we need to highlight is my husband, Gilberto.
This handsome guy is in charge of the majority of the farm chores. He does almost 100% of the watering and plant care.
He is extremely detail-oriented and takes enormous pride in growing our crops. From planting all the way to harvest, he is always devising the best ways to grow the healthiest and most delicious microgreens possible. He’s always experimenting with new microgreen varieties and carefully observing which ones do best.
He’s also super handy and can fix just about anything. Very useful on a micro-farm like ours!
Gilberto does a lot of the Monday harvesting and deliveries. And he is a constant presence at the Fall Creek Farmers Market where we sell our products face-to-face.
Without him, this business would just not be possible. If you cannot tell already, I love me some Gilberto!
This little lady, our beautiful daughter, is a big part of our company. She often helps with harvesting, packaging, and delivery of your microgreens. That is, when she’s not busy being a phenomenal gymnast and middle school student!
And make no mistake – she’s not a volunteer. She gets paid for the quality work that she does. It is important to us that she grows up with a strong work ethic and a deep knowledge of plant and soil health.
Having her work in the business is also teaching her how to manage her own money and make good financial decisions. We hope she holds onto these lessons for a lifetime.

I’m in charge of marketing and customer interactions and I could not be more pleased to interact with all of you! Building a strong community of people with access to fresh, local produce is my mission with this company.
Aside from marketing responsibilities, I also make the deliveries whenever I am available to do so. I absolutely love meeting and visiting with our customers and hearing how microgreens have helped them in their health and life. Their stories of transformation remind me of my own.
This business started because I needed microgreens and other “superfoods” to help to restore my own health after suffering the effects of multiple degenerative autoimmune disorders which began in my teens. My twenties were a complete disaster in terms of health. It took me many years to figure out just how to use nutrition to change my health picture, but now that I have, I can’t help but share it with others.
Microgreens and other nutritional interventions made miracles happen in my own health and now my whole family is on a mission to spread that health and vitality to other people just like you. We hope that you enjoy our microgreens and other products and help us spread the word to others in the community who need or would like to make positive changes in their diet and health.
